Funny weather app
The funny weather app that swears at the sky
Weather With Attitude is a free weather app that gives you the real forecast — today, tomorrow, hourly and 7-day — and then tells you what it actually thinks about it. It’s the swearing weather app people keep searching for: honest data, delivered with a mouth. Dial the attitude from mildly sarcastic to fully sweary, or keep it clean. Your call.
What is a “weather app that swears at you”?
Exactly what it sounds like, and nothing you didn’t agree to. Every forecast is real OpenWeatherMap data for cities across the USA and UK — current conditions, feels-like, wind, humidity, visibility, hourly and 7-day. On top of that, Weather With Attitude writes a fresh, blunt one-liner about your weather. A rude weather app, a funny weather app, a swearing weather app — same thing, and it’s free.
Pick your attitude
Three tiers, plus your own custom words. The filth is off by default — you turn it up.
Wuss
Gently sarcastic. Safe for the school run and the group chat.
“A bit grim out. Take a jacket, you’ll live.”
Spicy
Rude enough to make you snort. Cheeky, not filthy.
“Absolutely bucketing it down. Cancel the picnic.”
Brutal
The properly sweary one. Off by default and opt-in — we’re not printing it here.
“(You have to turn this one on yourself.)”
Honest weather, actually useful
The jokes are the point, but the data is real. You get live conditions and a proper hourly and 7-day forecast, a “feels like” that tells the truth, and the option to have the whole thing read aloud in one of four voices (US and UK, male and female). There’s a daily word puzzle, weather cats, and a live rain radar too — because a weather app should be worth opening even on a boring, beige-sky day.
How it compares (a Carrot Weather alternative)
Plenty of apps do “personality”. Carrot Weather is the famous one — sharp, funny, and worth the money if you like it. Here’s where Weather With Attitude is different, honestly:
| Weather With Attitude | The polite / paid crowd |
|---|---|
| Free on the web and mobile | Most personality apps are paid or subscription |
| Actually swears (when you ask it to) | Snark and sarcasm, but it keeps its mouth clean |
| Reads the forecast aloud in four voices | Usually text-only |
| USA & UK real-time data (OpenWeatherMap) | Varies |
| No account required to start | Often needs sign-up |
Not affiliated with Carrot Weather or any other app. If you want the rudest free option, this is it; if you want polished paid features, they’re great too.
Get it
- On the web — nothing to install. Open it now.
- As an app (PWA) — add it to your home screen. How to install.
- On Google Play — the Android app ships the same forecasts and attitude.
The honest small print
It’s genuinely free. The strong language is opt-in — start clean and turn it up only if you want to. We never celebrate severe weather; warnings are played straight. Data is US & UK for now.
